Centre to stress on revival of Ayurveda system of medicine – The Hindu

Shripad Yesso Naik, Union Minister or State for AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) has said that the Government of India is emphasising on the revival of the Ayurveda system of medicine which is becoming an integral part of the medical delivery system in India. Andhra Pradesh to seek more UG, PG seats in Ayurveda – The Hindu

The Andhra Pradsh Health Department is planning to approach the Medical Council of India for allotment of more under-graduate and post-graduate seats in Ayurveda stream for Andhra Pradesh. The move comes in the wake of the alleged injustice meted out to A.P in the allotment of seats after bifurcation. Admitting poor allocation of seats to the State, Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas said post-bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh was allocated only 30 under-graduate seats under Ayurveda quota whereas Telangana got 100 seats.
